Woke up one morning and the definition of success had changed dear Friend.
It was no longer about family, a robust faith and healthy friendships. It was now things, and things and things. So, the mantra became more. Like that Oliver Twist chant: “Please, sir, I want some more.”
Sad? 🤷
It was a slow change friend. We did not just go from this, to that. It happened quietly.
That one time you exchanged family time for money, stopped praying for others because you felt insulted, decided it was better to stay indoors other than relating with the world.
Slowly, we have become shells of who we once were; our head filled with the chant 'more'. Our values no longer hold. Wait, what is a value? Will it line my pocket?
Tell me friend, tell me, did you see it coming? The changes? Did you change too? Maybe, if you can see it clear, you can quell the beast.
